Sporthorse
Presentation
The following diagram
shows the standard triangle used for Sporthorse Presentation
at most sporthorse inspections. The inner triangle is used
to show the horse's walk. The outer triangle is used to show
the horse's trot. At some inspections, the horse is also shown
at liberty after the horse is stood up for inspection and
shown at the walk and trot.
For the purpose
of video consultations, the video camera should be at the
apex of the triangle so that the video will capture the same
information that the judge would see at inspections.
The triangle is
typically set up to be 30 x 30 x 40 meters. The judge stands
at the apex (A) and the horse is positions for evaluation
at A. The handler walks the horse in the pattern of the small
triangle (A-B-C). After the walk triangle is completed, the
horse is then asked to trot the larger triangle (A-D-E) and
ending up at the apex (A) to end the triangle.
